Drum Pack

Posted by FelixZophar - June 27th, 2018

Hey guys!

So, I've been putting a lot of thought into this. A few of you might know I wanted to make a sample pack. I've wanted to do this for a few weeks, but now. I finally decided to do it. I decided that making just regular sound fx is just too hard. So I decided to make drum pack. I haven't decided the name of it yet. But I plan on releasing it in 2 - 6 months. When I'm about half way done, I'll release the trailer. I'm planning about making 50 kicks, 70 snares, 80 claps, 20 hihats, 5 percs, 10 shakers, and many more. That's definitely a lot of work. I want to make it around $15. Not a bad price. I also wanted to make a free version with only about 5% of all the origional sounds. I want to let you know what you think of it. By the way, I'm going to do this alone, so please don't ask to collab. @8oltSh0cX and @MutantNebula wouldn't collab, because I am 8oltSh0cX's co-worker in our promotion buisness (meaning he doesn't write music or do any sort of audio programming and mixing.) and MutantNebula only uses Auxy, so he has no idea how to do this. So just let me know what you think! :)

Thanks for all your support!

Cool!

Maybe have the teaser free pack have around 25%, though. The pack is too small to just have 5%. That would be 11-12 drums if you were to do that.

I was thinking about a teaser having about five of each.

I think that your drum pack will be really cool!

Thanks. So far, I've been getting work done. I've been figuring ways to make them. So far all the sounds I made where from a white noise in audacity. But if you want to see how I'm going to make the sounds, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPix9OLR4PA
BTW, I'm not going to be using his sounds he mentions in the video.

I am curious as to how you're going about this. Are you miking a bunch of drums, or making digital sounding kicks and snares(for example).

I'm going to use different sounds. I'm going to use audacity. And I'm going to be recording different sounds and adding effects and going to be pitch shifting it.
